Place-based, community-led, food solutions build on the strengths of locals and respond more precisely, increasing agency, dignity, and adaptability, particularly in times of crisis.
Thanks to the generosity of our Giving Circle, we will award a $25,000 grant to help a community project come to life. If we raise more funds, we will award other worthy projects.

Community Groups or Clubs

We encourage applications from small grassroots initiatives, as we know these groups often have the passion and ideas but less access to funding. Whether you’re a lone community leader or a small local organisation, don’t hesitate to apply – we believe your efforts can have an outsized impact. Register an Expression of Interest:
Click the button above, fill out a form and briefly tell us about your idea. You will also get an invite to our very own online community to join other applicants.
1 Dec - 31 Dec 2025
Shortlist Selected & Invited to Apply:
A shortlist of projects will be selected and invited to submit a full application. with more detail about the project. Those that don't make the shortlist, will remain supported within our community and receive detailed feedback.

Grant Applications Submitted:
Applying for a grant takes effort. You’ll need to set aside time to clearly explain your project idea, gather basic information about your group or community, and think through a simple budget and plan. It’s a chance to reflect on the impact you want to make and put your vision into words. While it does require care and preparation, we aim to keep the application light on paperwork and heavy on storytelling because what matters most is your passion, your community’s needs, and the difference your project can deliver.

Finalists Selected & Invited to Showcase:
A judging panel of Giving Circle members and experts will assess the grant applications and invite the finalists to showcase their project. Selected projects will then share their ideas and tell their stories so the voters can gain a deeper understanding..
1 Jun - 30 Jun 2026
Voting to select a winner:
A series of voting rounds will determine which project wins.
1 July 2026
Grant winner announced!
The winning project team can celebrate before the work begins.
