Delivering good food deeds since 2005!

The Big Feed is an initiative of Food Education Australia (FEA), a registered charity, dedicated to promoting food and health literacy using a wellness approach.

Since 2005, we have worked across the country engaging, educating and empowering communities to reduce the risk of diet-related disease, to improve disaster resilience and to create food justice!

Our Purpose

We empower people with knowledge: We educate individuals and communities on food, nutrition, and making healthy choices. Our goal is to help prevent and manage obesity and related health conditions like Type 2 Diabetes, Asthma, Heart Disease, and Depression.

We create valuable learning resources: We develop and share clear, easy-to-understand information and educational materials focused on food, health, and nutrition.

We support vulnerable communities and educators: We design practical resources specifically for people facing poverty, illness, or disadvantage. We also actively support schools and community organisations in delivering effective food education initiatives.

We bridge research and practice: We monitor the latest research, evaluate key findings, and translate complex knowledge into accessible, practical formats for policymakers, health professionals, and educators to use effectively.
